Job Title: Senior Nuclear Engineering Manager

Job Summary:

  • Lead the build and commissioning delivery programme for the Reactor Plant, utilizing innovative engineering solutions and problem-solving skills.
  • Ensure the maintenance of Reactor Plant design intent during the build and commissioning phases.
  • Support the assessment of plant design changes and plant build maturity for entry into subsequent build phases.
  • Provide technically sound challenges to existing requirements and write reports to communicate nuclear issues to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Liaise with authorities and assurance agencies to ensure technical solutions meet customer requirements and are certified by necessary authorities.
  • Lead the assessment and management of complex inter-domain or inter-function issues identified during the close out of the final design, through change or through build/commissioning.
  • Technical approval of team outputs.
  • Represent the team in RTG and PAG meetings.
  • Manage the WBTA Letter of Delegation.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Degree Qualified in Engineering/Physical Science discipline; Electrical, Mechanical, Nuclear, Materials, Chemistry, Physics.
  • Knowledge of the nuclear industry and Nuclear Regulations.
  • Previous exposure to Engineering Lifecycle.
  • Previous Nuclear plant experience.

Desirable:

  • Proven technical report writing skills.
  • Presentation skills.

The Platform Nuclear Engineering Department is a growing capability to accommodate the growing Nuclear Engineering demand on the business. The team covers activities ranging from design safety assurance, engineering/technical problem solving to practical innovation and improvement projects across the Engineering Lifecycle with a strong focus on the Build and Commission of the reactor plant.
