About the Role

Maidstone Borough Council is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our Accommodation Team as an Assistant Accommodation Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to provide effective operational and administrative support within the team, ensuring the highest possible standard of service to customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Accommodation Officers, including data entry, document management, and correspondence.
  • Support the collection of housing benefits information and maintain accurate records.
  • Act as a point of contact for the section, responding to queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work effectively within a team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of local authority housing services and processes.
Requirements
  • GCSE level or equivalent in English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above.
  • Excellent communication and administration skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Practical understanding of local authority housing services and processes.
