An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to undertake the role of Executive Assistant to Chief Officer at Essex Police.
This position is both rewarding and demanding, requiring flexibility and a collaborative spirit as part of the broader Executive Assistant Team to Chief Officers, ensuring comprehensive support for the entire team.
We seek candidates who can demonstrate:
- Exceptional standards of professionalism, tact, discretion, and diplomacy, acting as the Chief Officer's representative in alignment with ethical standards.
- Strong negotiation and influencing abilities to effectively manage scheduling conflicts, offering options and solutions to ensure smooth operations for the Chief Officers.
- A keen ability to quickly and accurately process information, adhering to security guidelines, and proactively addressing potential risks related to scheduling and information management.
- High-level organizational skills and proficiency with essential office technology, including Outlook and Microsoft applications.
- Emotional intelligence, demonstrating respect and compassion towards others, particularly when handling sensitive and confidential information under pressure.

Essex Police promotes flexible working arrangements, although this role will primarily be office-based due to its operational nature.
Incremental salary increases are available within this pay band, with the potential to reach a maximum of £32,802.00.
