Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is a leading IT services company that helps businesses transform through technology. We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide second-line investigation and diagnosis of technical issues.
  • Resolve and close incidents/service requests as per procedures and allocated timelines.
  • Log relevant incident/service request details in the IT Service Management (ITSM) tool.
  • Communicate with clients regarding incident progress.
  • Ensure tickets are updated at all times until issues are resolved.
  • Comply with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) and IT policies.
  • Liaise with clients, IT support groups, and third-party providers when necessary.
  • Perform staging of PCs.
  • Perform Install, Move, Add, and Change (IMAC) of end-user hardware.
  • Conduct hardware and software maintenance and support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve PC incidents and/or VIP requests.
  • Assist with Site Security Officer (SSO) on IT security issues and virus elimination.
  • Create and maintain documentation for scope of work.
  • Provide special events coverage, meeting room, and VCON support.
  • Manage centralized hardware and spare part stocking, local site inventory, and asset management.
  • Coordinate activities with third parties to resolve IT issues or complete service requests.
Key Skills/Knowledge:
  • Strong technical skills in desktop support and IT service management.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide support to clients.
  • Knowledge of ITSM tools and processes.
  • Understanding of QHSE and IT policies.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Experience with hardware and software maintenance and support.
  • Knowledge of IT security and virus elimination.
  • Ability to create and maintain documentation.
  • Experience with special events coverage and meeting room support.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and asset management.
  • Ability to coordinate activities with third parties.
