We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced specialist to join our clinical team in the Addiction and Recovery Service. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will participate in all aspects of patient care, provide consultant leadership and expertise, and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings.
About the ServiceThe Addiction and Recovery Service is a multidisciplinary team that provides treatment and care services for individuals with addiction and substance use disorders. We offer a range of services, including community-based teams, specialist day and inpatient care, and liaison provision for general psychiatry and a wider Recovery Orientated System of Care.
Our service is responsible for delivering addiction treatment and care services to over 12,000 clients, and we are committed to providing high-quality care and support to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in all aspects of patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Provide consultant leadership and expertise to the multidisciplinary team
- Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings and decision-making processes
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
- Provide education and training to other healthcare professionals and students
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Full registration with the GMC
- MRCPsych or FRCPsych or equivalent
- CCST or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR)
- Eligibility for approval under the Scottish Mental Health Act as an AMP
