About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team on the Acute Trauma and Orthopaedic Ward at Scarborough Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our patients through their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with personal care and rehabilitation, promoting independence and dignity
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, fostering open communication and respect
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills, preferably gained through secondary school education
  • Willingness to undertake training and development opportunities
  • Detailed understanding of the role of a Healthcare Support Worker
  • Awareness of what is important to patients and their families
