About the Role

We are seeking highly motivated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Healthcare Support Workers at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support in our Acute Trauma and Orthopaedic Ward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support, promoting independence and dignity in a fast-paced hospital environment.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care plans and ensure seamless patient transitions.
  • Assist with patient assessments, treatments, and procedures, adhering to strict clinical guidelines and protocols.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture, fostering open communication and respect among colleagues.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in patient care and support.
Requirements
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills, preferably gained through secondary school education.

  • Detailed understanding of the role of a Healthcare Support Worker and awareness of patient needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
