About the Role:

As an Educational Support Professional, you will be working in a dynamic and supportive environment at our Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Islington. Your primary focus will be on helping students aged 11-16 with challenging behaviour develop their academic and social skills, ultimately aiming to reintegrate them into mainstream schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide support to students with challenging behaviour in a secondary PRU setting
  • To help students develop academic and social skills, with the goal of reintegrating them into mainstream schools
  • To work closely with teachers and other support staff to deliver effective interventions

Requirements:

  • Strong behaviour management skills are essential for this role
  • Experience working in a PRU or with students with additional needs is highly valued
  • Graduates in Maths or English are particularly encouraged to apply

Working Environment:

The PRU in Islington provides a nurturing and supportive environment for students who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream schools. The school focuses on creating a holistic approach to behaviour management and academic support. With strong transport links, the school is easily accessible for commuters.

Salary: £85-£100 per day (full-time)
