About the PositionWe are seeking an experienced SEN educator to join our team at Dunbar Education's Pupil Referral Unit. This role involves delivering specialized support to students with SEMH and EBD, including developing individualized education plans and managing challenging behaviour.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored lessons to meet the needs of students with SEMH and EBD
- Develop and implement IEPs
- Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with support staff and external agencies
- Manage challenging behaviour using de-escalation techniques
To be considered, you must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with students with SEMH and EBD
- Strong behavior management skills and ability to build positive relationships
