Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team at the University of Oxford, Department of Biology. The role will involve managing the department's finances, developing key strategies, and overseeing financial planning and reporting activities.

Responsibilities

As the Financial Operations Manager, you will:

  • Manage the department's finances, ensuring accurate and timely budgeting and forecasting.
  • Oversight of financial planning and reporting activities, including financial analysis and modeling.
  • Develop key strategies to drive business growth and improve financial performance.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in finance, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • Proven experience in financial planning and management, with a focus on strategy development.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
Salary Information

The base salary for this role is estimated to be around £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including pension scheme, life assurance, and annual leave entitlement.
