Job Summary

The Career Coach role at Catch22 presents an exceptional opportunity to work within local communities, contributing to a national green skills and employability project funded by Shell. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will collaborate with an experienced employability team to support service users in progressing into apprenticeships, employment, education, and training opportunities.

About the Role
  • Support service users in achieving their career goals, providing guidance and resources to facilitate their transition into the workforce.
  • Develop strong relationships with referral partners, customers, training providers, employers, and participants, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Utilize effective communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with stakeholders.
  • Employ a proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving, ensuring the successful delivery of objectives.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including report production and data analysis, to inform program development and improvement.
Main Responsibilities
  • Induct, assess, and onboard participants, delivering high-quality information, advice, and guidance to support their career development.
  • Enhance the employability skills of participants, focusing on mindset, emotional intelligence, self-confidence, and esteem, to equip them for success in the workforce.
  • Assist participants in preparing CVs, cover letters, and job applications, as well as conducting job searches using relevant software and packages.
  • Shortlist, pre-select, and match participants to job vacancies and work experience opportunities, preparing job packs and facilitating interviews.
  • Introduce participants to a strengths-based recruitment approach, preparing them for job interviews and arranging interviews with employers as needed.
  • Maintain regular contact with participants to ensure they sustain their job or apprenticeship, delivering high-quality in-work support to achieve a minimum of six months' employment.
  • Contribute to the delivery of job fairs, workshops, and seminars, both in-person and remotely, to prepare participants for the workforce.
