As a Data Center Trainee, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers, working closely with the Engineering Operations Team to maintain the highest standards of safety and security.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the operation and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment within the data center
- Provide support to contractors and data center engineers to ensure proper operation and maintenance of facility equipment and building racks
- Perform site walkthroughs to verify the proper operation of facility equipment and monitoring systems
- Ensure overall availability and reliability for our customers within our data centers
- Install new rack equipment and decommission existing racks
- Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures while performing work
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- 18 years or older
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Interest in STEM or vocational courses related to electrical or mechanical fields
- Knowledge of generic mechanical-room infrastructure such as chillers, cooler units, and fan controls
- Knowledge of electrical equipment such as switchgear, transformers, and power distribution panels
