An exciting opportunity awaits at Fortnum & Mason Piccadilly, as we seek a Retail Pastry Chef to join our Confectionery team on the Ground Floor.

Our ideal candidate will be front and centre of our Confectionery island, creating a sense of theatre while working with the finest chocolate products.

You will deliver a first-class experience to our customers, providing a sense of theatre as you personalise products and customers' orders.

Key Responsibilities General:

  • Production of all items, with the correct recipe card and procedure, correct quantity, and of good quality.
  • Work in collaboration with the management team to deliver front-of-house service.
  • Maintain hygiene and sanitation of the work area.
  • Use of the chocolate tap and tempering chocolate.
  • Work with the teams to create new ideas and products of high-quality confections.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Experience as a Commis/Demi Chef de Partie with a focus on Pastry or Chocolate.
  • Knowledge of chocolate production techniques, including tempering and moulding.
  • A good understanding of Health and Safety.
  • Strong artistic skills, with a focus on personalisation.
  • The ability to use initiative and prioritise tasks to meet production deadlines.
