Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Site Operative to join our team at our busy household recycling centre. As a Site Operative, you will play a vital role in assisting the general public in recycling their household waste, promoting health and safety across the sites, and providing an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the site is safe and secure, reporting any health and safety issues to management
  • Promoting health and safety by wearing a body-camera to ensure site safety for yourself and our customers
  • Using digital devices to make bookings, send vouchers, and take electronic payments for chargeable waste
  • Ensuring the site is kept clean and safe, reinforcing site rules to customers
  • Sweeping, litter picking, and cleaning up spillages to ensure a safe site for colleagues and customers
  • Providing an excellent customer experience, informing customers of the recycling facility duties

Requirements

  • A can-do attitude and flexibility to work Saturdays and Sundays
  • Great customer service skills and ability to organise your own time effectively
