Job Title: Senior Account Director - Life Sciences

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading Life Science agency as a Senior Account Director. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a portfolio of clients, supported by a team of Senior Account Managers and Account Directors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret business challenges and marketing objectives of clients to design marketing strategies that deliver on commercial goals.
  • Conduct customer and competitor research, develop brand and product value propositions, buyer personas, and messaging to create the strategic foundation for tactical communications plans.
  • Create integrated communication plans that are targeted to the needs of the customer, applying in-depth knowledge of B2B marketing tactics.
  • Manage and execute against tactical plans by briefing and working with specialist public relations, paid media, content, design, and development teams to deliver high-quality results, on deadline, and on budget.
  • Build client relationships, manage projects, and effectively communicate expectations, plans, and results across the combined agency-client team.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of B2B integrated experience.
  • Currently working at GAD level in life science, pharma, med comms agency, or another agency servicing technical sectors.
  • Previous experience working with clients that operate globally, particularly Europe and the US.
  • A scientific background (e.g., BSc or PhD in a science-related subject) is desirable.
  • Strong commercial management with a track record of account development/sales/new business pitching.
  • 6.5+ years of team management and development experience.
  • Good working knowledge of B2B strategy, including customer and competitor research, customer segmentation/buyer persona, messaging development, brand strategy, and tactical comms planning.
  • Service delivery experience in creative, brand visual identity development, content marketing, paid media, organic social, web design and development, sales enablement, lead nurturing, inbound, and ABM.
