About this Role

We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Parish Operations Coordinator to join our team at Derrydiocese.

This is a 1-year fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension. As a Parish Operations Coordinator, you will provide administrative support to the Parish Operations and Administration Manager, ensuring the smooth operation of the parish office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management:
  • Ensuring accurate financial records are maintained.

  • Providing administrative support for official parish correspondence.

  • Maintaining diaries, email correspondence, telephone calls, and other associated administration.

  • Supporting the parish team with clerical tasks.

  • Answering telephone calls and greeting visitors as required.

  • Preparing and printing the weekly Parish Newsletter.

  • Typing and copying bidding prayers and announcement sheets.

  • Clerical provision for compiling sacramental programmes.

  • Record Keeping:
  • Ensuring the maintenance of the parishioner database in accordance with GDPR and guidelines.

Estimated Salary: £25,000-£30,000 per year.
