Accountancy Practice Seeks Experienced Payroll Professional

We are currently working with a top 30 Accountancy practice who are seeking an experienced Payroll processor to join their team based near Cambridge.

Role Description

This role will involve undertaking a range of computerised and manual payroll processing assignments from start to finish on Star, providing excellent customer service and developing client relationships.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Processing payroll assignments using Star
  • Providing day-to-day support to colleagues and assisting with queries from clients
  • Keeping up to date with new skills and technologies
  • Effectively managing time on assignments
  • Processing Payroll End of Year Returns
Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need:

  • Demonstrate a competent understanding of Star and other payroll software
  • Proven skills and experience in computerised and manual client payroll processing
  • Previous payroll software experience, preferably Star
  • A high standard of competence in processing basic payroll assignments
Package

The role offers:

  • A competitive salary of around £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience
  • 25 days holiday depending on level of qualification, with the ability to purchase up to 5 extra days annually under our flexible benefits scheme
