About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. The successful candidate will be working closely with a Special school in the Bath area, supporting a KS2 class with SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs) and ASD students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide general classroom support and 1-1 work with SEMH/ASD students.
  • Support the class teacher in planning and marking lessons.
  • Work closely with the SENCO to develop skills and knowledge.
  • Be adaptable and flexible to meet the needs of the pupils.
  • Support students on a personal and educational level.
Requirements
  • Experience working with SEMH/ASD students.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and actively seek ways to improve the class environment.
  • Confidence in dealing with challenging behaviour.
  • Passion for helping students with SEMH/ASD needs.
