Job Title: Special Education Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Special school in the Bath area. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to a KS2 class of SEMH students, working closely with the class teacher to ensure the best possible outcomes for the students.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with SEMH/ASD students and be confident in dealing with challenging behavior. They will be passionate about helping students with SEMH/ASD and want to make a real difference in their lives.

The role involves:

  • Providing general classroom support to a KS2 class of SEMH students
  • Working closely with the class teacher to plan and deliver lessons
  • Supporting students with SEMH/ASD on a personal and educational level
  • Being adaptable and flexible around the needs of the pupils
