Job Description

The successful candidate will provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs. This role involves supporting young people referred to us by local authorities and schools, as well as providing flexible and holistic trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning each session of teaching/tutoring/mentoring
  • Providing engaging sessions that meet young people's needs and advance their educational and social-emotional journey
  • Completing lesson reports and providing feedback on young people's progress
Requirements
  • Professional Teaching Qualifications (Qualified Teacher Status/QTS/QLTS)
  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience
  • Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or other Additional Educational Needs
  • Experience, knowledge, and understanding of safeguarding processes
  • Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost if needed)
  • Two professional references
  • Ability to work in a way that promotes the health, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people
