Academic Support Specialist

The School Success Coordinator will work with low-income, first-generation high school students in grades 9-12 at Mt Union High School. The coordinator will provide academic support and programming for students through to graduation and post-secondary institution enrollment.
Key Responsibilities- Supplement the work done by the Upward Bound Programs full-time Program Advisor assigned to Mt Union High School.
- Provide academic support and programming for UBP students.
- Meet with students and participate in programming throughout the academic year, including Saturday Academies.
- Maintain all required program paperwork and documentation.
- Hold a current K-12 teaching or guidance certification and obtain all necessary clearances.
This is a part-time position funded for approximately eight hours per month. The position includes maintaining all required program paperwork and documentation. Additional requirements include the SSC must be a staff person working within Altoona School District.
