Job Summary

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to serve as a School Success Coordinator for the Upward Bound Programs. This part-time position will work with low-income, first-generation high school students in grades 9-12 at Mt Union High School, providing academic support and programming to ensure student success and post-secondary institution enrollment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supplement the work of the Upward Bound full-time Program Advisor assigned to Mt Union High School
  • Provide academic support and programming for Upward Bound students through to graduation
  • Meet with students and participate in programming throughout the academic year, including Saturday Academies
  • Maintain all required program paperwork and documentation
  • Collaborate with school district staff to ensure program success
Requirements
  • Current K-12 teaching or guidance certification
  • Staff person working within Altoona School District
  • Obtain all necessary clearances
