Academic Support Specialist

Academic Support Role at The Pennsylvania State University
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to serve as a School Success Coordinator for our Upward Bound Programs. In this role, you will work closely with low-income, first-generation students in grades 9-12 to provide academic support and programming.
- Develop and implement academic support strategies to enhance student success
- Collaborate with the Program Advisor to ensure effective program implementation
- Participate in Saturday and possibly Summer Academies to provide additional support
This part-time position requires approximately eight hours per month and entails maintaining program documentation. Ideal candidates must hold a current K-12 teaching or guidance certification within the Altoona School District and obtain necessary clearances.
