Community Engagement Coordinator

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Location: UK-based role with a focus on waste education across South Tyne and Wear.
About the RoleThis position plays a key role in Groundwork's Local Programmes Team, contributing to the development, delivery, and sustainability of programmes focused on waste education and community engagement.
The successful candidate will work at the South Tyne and Wear Waste Management Partnership's Visitor and Education Centre, operated by SUEZ, where they will be responsible for leading community waste education initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver effective community outreach and education activities targeting various centre users.
- Promote and facilitate school visits and community ownership through strategic outreach efforts across the region.
We seek an enthusiastic and experienced professional with a proven track record in project development and delivery, ideally within waste and recycling initiatives.
Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for working in local communities and promoting environmental awareness.
