Job Title: Nurse Practitioner in Haematology

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Nurse Practitioner in Haematology. This is a unique opportunity to work with patients undergoing treatment for Acute/Chronic Graft Versus Host Disease (GVHD) and make a real difference in their lives.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients and their families, working closely with the AHP team and co-ordinating care as recommended. You will also provide continued support to patients throughout their GVHD treatment journey through the day patient setting, ensuring that their care is delivered in a timely and efficient manner.

The successful candidate will have relevant post-registration experience in haematology and related post-registration qualifications. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, and ability to prioritise and organise workload.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To deliver high quality and efficient haematology day centre / GVHD clinic and inpatient care for GVHD patients and their families.
  • To assess, plan, deliver and evaluate patient care using a holistic and individualized approach, based on the principles of best practice and clinical effectiveness.
  • To liaise closely with the AHP team and co-ordinate care as recommended.
  • To provide continued support to patients throughout their GVHD treatment journey through the day patient setting, ensuring that their care is delivered in a timely and efficient manner.
  • To provide patients with information, education and psychological support throughout the course of their disease and treatment.

Salary: The salary for this role is £38,890 - £44,442 per annum, depending on experience.
