Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dispute Resolution Solicitor to join our team. As a key member of our accident claims department, you will be responsible for maximizing income per case, preparing and conducting cases thoroughly, and delivering exceptional client care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maximize income per case through recovery of damages, including hire, repairs, recovery, and storage.
  2. Prepare and conduct cases thoroughly, ensuring the ingathering of all requisite evidence.
  3. Deliver a level of client care in accordance with service level agreements.
  4. Report issues, problems, and compliance breaches in a timely manner to the appropriate level of management.
  5. Ensure compliance with information security policies, including data confidentiality and the operational security of information systems used.
  6. Perform ad hoc or additional duties as deemed fit and appropriate by the management team.

Requirements:

  1. Must be admitted in Scotland - Newly Qualified (NQ).
  2. Understanding of credit hire would be desirable.
  3. Court litigation experience, including an understanding of Court of Session and Sheriff Court procedures.
  4. In-depth drafting experience.
  5. Conduct hearings in the Sheriff Courts.
  6. Ability to deal with difficult clients, communicate effectively, and provide legal advice in relation to their claim.
  7. Experience of demonstrating effective teamworking within a commercial environment.
  8. Ability to identify where problems may arise and adopt a solution-focused approach.
