Job Summary:

The Line Controller is a key role within Pilgrim's Europe, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production lines and meeting quality and productivity standards. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Operations: Assist the Operations Manager in the manufacture of quality products, ensuring that production needs are met while adhering to customer specifications, health and safety procedures, and production control protocols.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and control product quality, including product entering and leaving the production area, and ensure that all appropriate paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate the activities of production team members, ensuring that they are trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase productivity, efficiency, and quality.
  • Communication: Communicate regularly and effectively with the Operations Manager and other stakeholders to ensure that they are fully briefed on all aspects of production operations.
  • Health and Safety: Promote a safe working environment, report any health and safety issues to the Operations Manager, and ensure that all team members are aware of and comply with health and safety procedures.

Requirements:

  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Production Experience: Experience in a production environment, with a strong understanding of production processes and quality control procedures.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and solve problems effectively, with a focus on improving productivity and quality.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and mutual support.
