The Despatch Operative will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and supply chain processes. This individual will be responsible for selecting and dispatching stock in a timely manner, meeting customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Health and Safety: To work in a manner that promotes the health and safety of oneself and others, reporting any health and safety issues to the immediate manager.
- Reporting Accidents: To report any accidents or near misses to the first aider in the area.
- Quality and Hygiene: To work in a manner that ensures Quality and Hygiene standards are maintained in the production environment.
- Productivity: To ensure productivity standards are maintained, monitoring and controlling product quality, and reporting on any issues.
- Environmental Impact: To work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within the area and across the wider business.
- Training and Development: To assist in the training of new colleagues, and to contribute to the development of skills in line with the company's competency framework.
- Line Efficiency: To work towards maximizing line efficiency, monitoring and controlling line speeds and performances.
- Paperwork and Administration: To ensure that all appropriate paperwork is completed accurately and on time, and to train staff where required.
- Security and Confidentiality: To report to the Line controller/Manager immediately any occurrence that could affect the finances or security of the Company or put its name into disrepute.
Requirements:
- Flexibility: To work a proportion of overtime at weekend or end of shift as required.
- Teamwork: To work in a team environment, contributing to the overall success of the business.
