About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Volunteer Administrator to join our People and Culture team. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to the volunteer hub, ensuring the smooth operation of our volunteer life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, database management, and training coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the Volunteer Services team, including end-to-end recruitment processes, safer recruitment checks, and reference enquires.
  • Monitor and deal with queries received into generic Voluntary Services inboxes, providing first-level advice and guidance or referral to other team members.
  • Assess and respond to sensitive and confidential queries, providing basic people advice and resolving issues.
  • Accurately and timely input information into the HRIS, checking and clarifying information as needed.
  • Support project work, including strategic recruitment, inclusion and belonging, induction, reward, succession planning, engagement, and recognition.
Requirements:
  • CIPD level 3 or diploma qualification or equivalent level of demonstrable experience in Volunteer Management and/or People functions.
  • An understanding of Equal Opportunities and valuing Diversity.
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a people-orientated function and recruitment, delivering high-volume end-to-end recruitment campaigns and supporting managers to develop and implement plans.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of pre-employment checks and UKBA requirements.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, sustaining medium and long-term priorities.
