Job Summary

Venn Group is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Business Partner to join our team on a temporary basis. As an Interim Finance Business Partner, you will play a key role in leading FBP activities across Adult Social Care, working closely with multiple stakeholders and managing large and varied budgets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Lead small projects and implement changes and improvements within agreed cost, time, and quality standards.
  • Team Management: Provide direct line management of 1-5 staff and be responsible for a team of 10-20 staff to deliver activities focused on financial inclusion and resident support.
  • Financial Assessments: Lead the ASC Finance team to provide financial assessments and inclusion services to Sutton residents.
  • Policy Development: Support officers and Councillors to develop effective strategies and policies that adopt a financial inclusion approach to supporting residents and empower residents to successfully manage their personal finances.
  • Legislative Compliance: Ensure that Care Act 2014 statutory guidance, including deferred payment, direct payment financial assessments, and appointeeship, are followed and adhered to in accordance with this legislation.

Requirements

  • Complex Casework Experience: Experience of managing complex casework.
  • Local or National ASC Services: Knowledge and experience of working with local or national ASC services, or health services.
  • Vulnerable Clients: Experience of working with vulnerable clients.
  • Care Act Knowledge: In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Care Act 2015, the Mental Capacity Act 2015, and the Homelessness Prevention Act 2018.
  • Welfare Reform: In-depth knowledge and understanding of welfare reform and Universal Credit, as well as the operation of Housing Benefits.
  • Senior Relationships: Experience of building effective working relationships with senior officers and elected officials.
  • Mental Capacity Act: Experience and understanding of the Mental Capacity Act as it relates to property and finances.
