We are seeking a compassionate and experienced female personal assistant to support our 15-year-old daughter with complex needs. The successful candidate will provide personal care, social support, and companionship to our daughter, enabling her to live independently and pursue her interests.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have experience in personal care, moving and handling, and supporting individuals with spinal cord injuries. They will be responsible for assisting our daughter with daily tasks, such as showering, dressing, and meal preparation, as well as supporting her to access her interests and develop her social skills.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care, including pad changing, showering, and dressing
- Support our daughter with daily tasks, such as meal preparation and shopping
- Assist our daughter to access her interests, both at home and in the community
- Support our daughter to develop her social skills and confidence
- Monitor and report any changes in our daughter's health or well-being
- Experience in personal care and moving and handling
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility
- Full, clean driving license and own car (desirable)
