The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical practice and a passion for education and development. They will be responsible for maintaining a progressive learning environment for all grades of nursing staff, supporting the development of healthcare assistants, and coordinating educational activities and assessments.
Main Responsibilities- To maintain primary responsibility for ensuring the Care Group provides a progressive learning environment for all grades of nursing staff.
- To support and coordinate the development of healthcare assistants, TNA's, NA's, and both pre- and post-registration nursing students by co-ordinating educational activities and assessments of learning within the department.
- To assist in the preparation of internationally educated nurses for their OSCE depending on specialist skills and area of expertise.
- To support with statutory and mandatory training as required to ensure compliance within the Care Group and Trust wide.
- To actively promote and contribute to inter-professional learning activities across the Care Group and Trust wide.
- To provide effective role modelling and leadership by working clinically as per service needed and identified job plan clinical percentage.
- To act as the education and training lead for the specialist area of practice.
- To provide pastoral support, guidance, and training to all stakeholders on all aspects of pre- and post-reg nursing/midwifery.
