Deputy Director of Finance

Dedicate Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a medium-sized multi-Academy Trust in South East London to find an exceptional Deputy Director of Finance.

We are seeking a technically strong accountant with a broader strategic understanding of how a successful finance function supports and enables delivery of the Trust's vision and strategy.

The successful candidate will report to the Senior Director of Finance and lead a team of eight staff, ensuring robust internal financial controls are maintained across the Trust.

Key responsibilities include leading on statutory and regulatory accounting, actively monitoring ESFA and DfE guidance, overseeing the monthly end-to-end payroll process, and supporting the Senior Director of Finance on the presentation of finance statements to the Board and Finance and Audit Committee.

We require a fully qualified accountant in CIMA/ACCA or ACA, educated to degree level or equivalent, with an excellent track record in finance and a confident understanding of overseeing finance systems.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of how finance supports schools within a trust and its outcomes.
