About the Role

Dedicate Recruitment is proud to partner with Haberdashers' Academies Trust South in the search for an exceptional Deputy Director of Finance. This is a unique opportunity to join a nine-school trust based in Southeast London, where the ethos is to make all schools excellent and to be an employer of choice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of eight staff in ensuring robust internal financial controls are maintained across the trust.
  • Oversee statutory and regulatory accounting, actively monitor ESFA and DfE guidance, and support the Senior Director of Finance on the presentation of finance statements to the Board and Finance and Audit Committee.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies that support the trust's vision and strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Finance to ensure effective financial planning and management.
Requirements
  • Fully qualified accountant in CIMA/ACCA or ACA.
  • Education to degree level or equivalent.
  • Excellent track record in finance with a confident understanding of overseeing finance systems.
  • Ability to influence across the board and lead a team effectively.
