About the Role

Lanpro is a forward-thinking consultancy providing exceptional planning, design, and environmental services across the UK. We're seeking a commercially focused Associate Director to lead our planning projects, coordinate and oversee projects, and develop the team's core competencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take a leadership role on planning projects, coordinating and overseeing projects to ensure timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues to drive business growth and development.
  • Develop and implement effective project management strategies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Provide technical input into projects and bids, using your expertise to identify and realize new client opportunities.
  • Manage the delivery of specialized components of projects, including planning submissions, appeals, and site inspections.
  • Perform strategic planning research and policy development, including assessments of development potential.
  • Provide senior leadership within the Planning Division, maintaining a strong professional profile and reputation both internally and within the industry.
  • Develop and implement effective staff management and development strategies to ensure the team is equipped to deliver high-quality results.
Requirements
  • RTPI-accredited degree or Masters in a related discipline.
  • Chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
  • Significant experience working in the planning industry, ideally including experience of working in the private sector and direct management of staff or leading a team.
