About the Role

Lanpro is a leading multidisciplinary consultancy providing exceptional planning, design, and environmental services across the UK. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director to join our team and contribute to our growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take a leadership role on planning projects, coordinating and overseeing projects to ensure timely and successful delivery.
  • Act as an ambassador for the company, building upon existing client relationships and actively seeking opportunities for future business.
  • Assist the Regional Director in the day-to-day management of the team and undertake direct line management responsibilities as directed.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to drive growth and revenue.
  • Provide technical input into projects and bids, using expertise to identify and realise new client opportunities.
  • Manage the delivery of complex planning submissions, including appearing at appeal hearings and/or as an expert witness at appeal inquiries.
  • Perform strategic planning research and policy development, including assessments of development potential.
  • Undertake site inspections and assess the merits of proposals.
  • Provide guidance to engineers/architects on the production of drawings and supplementary information in relation to planning submissions.
  • Contribute to the development of the team's core competencies and assist in the technical development of staff.
Requirements
  • RTPI accredited degree or Masters in a related discipline.
  • Chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
  • Significant experience working in the planning industry, ideally including experience of working in the private sector and direct management of staff or leading a team.
