The UK Committee for UNICEF is looking for an experienced Education Rights Advocate to join their Rights Respecting Schools Team.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to promote the Rights Respecting Schools Award (RRSA) Programme in schools across London, supporting them to embed the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) into their ethos and practice.

As an Education Rights Advocate, you will work closely with children and young people in UK schools, promoting their rights and providing strategic support to help them achieve their goals.

You will be responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders, including school leaders, teachers, and parents, to promote the RRSA Programme and support its development within your region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote the RRSA Programme in schools and support them to embed the CRC into their ethos and practice.
  • Work closely with children and young people in UK schools, promoting their rights and providing strategic support.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, including school leaders, teachers, and parents.
  • Contribute to the promotion, development, and growth of the RRSA Programme within your region.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A proven track record of working strategically at a senior level with children and young people in UK schools.
  • Experience of promoting children's rights and advocating for the CRC.
  • Strong IT and communication skills, including the ability to work efficiently remotely and manage multiple demands and priorities.
  • A confident and results-focused approach, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including:
