Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Head of Statistical Programming to join our team at Novartis. This is a unique opportunity to drive innovation and excellence in pharmaceutical development.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving consistency and building capabilities across therapeutic areas, maximizing value realization of automation and standardization for programming across AQS.

  • Drive statistical programming quality, consistency, validation, automation, and continuous learning across all AQS.
  • Proactively monitor programming quality for AQS deliverables.
  • Engage with internal and external partners to define and drive modern implementation of SDTM, ADaM, and reporting standards.
  • Build modern programming capabilities across AQS including open source, R.
  • Lead and manage a team with expertise in programming, clinical domain, data analysis, machine learning, and AI.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A university degree in Life Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • Vast experience in life sciences, clinical research, or drug development in a global environment.
  • Significant experience in engaging, managing, and influencing associates from varying backgrounds.
  • Experience with data science and analytics tools and methodologies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for bridging scientific, technical, and business stakeholders.
  • Track record of success in leading cross-functional teams.
What We Offer

At Novartis, we offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience. In addition to a generous compensation package, you will also have access to:
