About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Research Assistant or Research Fellow to support the efforts of The Lancet Commission on Evidence-Based Implementation (EBI) in Global Health. As a key member of our team, you will focus on reducing gaps and inequities in health implementation in low-income and middle-income countries (LMICs).
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Conduct advanced statistical analyses using R, STATA, or other programming languages to estimate avertable deaths in LMICs through a Bayesian Framework.
- Lead the writing of academic papers detailing statistical methods used and contribute to other relevant papers.
- Collaborate with our team to develop written outputs that meet the standards of the subject area/discipline.
**Requirements**:
- A first degree in statistics, health informatics, or a relevant field at Research Assistant level or a postgraduate degree, ideally a doctoral degree, in a relevant field for Research Fellow.
- Experience in advanced statistical analyses and proficiency in R, STATA, or other programming languages.
**What We Offer**:
- A competitive salary of £44,847-£50,808 per annum, inclusive of London weighting.
- 30 working days of annual leave, pro-rata for part-time staff.
- Membership of the Pension Scheme.
This is a full-time 35 hours per week, 1.0FTE fixed-term position available immediately. The post is funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
