We are looking for a talented individual to fill the role of Head of Statistical Programming Excellence at Novartis Farmacéutica. As a member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving excellence in statistical programming practices across all therapeutic areas (TAs) and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

About the Role

This is a strategic position that requires 3 days per week in our London office. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes that drive efficiency, productivity, and innovation.

The estimated salary for this position is between €160,000 - €220,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement strategies to drive excellence in statistical programming practices across all TAs.
  2. Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes that drive efficiency, productivity, and innovation.
  3. Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements
  • University degree in Life Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or another relevant field.
  • Vast experience of involvement in life sciences, clinical research, or drug development in a global/matrix environment in pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience with requirements for data science and analytics tools, iterative development methodologies, and artificial intelligence and machine learning applications in clinical or research settings.
  • Thorough knowledge of GxP, industry data and metadata standards, QA, and regulatory/clinical development process.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for bridging scientific, technical, and business stakeholders.
  • Track-record of ideating and executing organizational change projects.
  • Analytical, process-oriented, and data-driven mind-set.
  • Fluency in English (spoken & written).
