Job Summary

The role of the Technical Support Specialist involves acting as the first point of contact for users with IT issues, ensuring timely and polite responses. The successful candidate will have good knowledge of PC hardware and software, Microsoft desktop operating systems, and server operating systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Answer telephone calls and respond to emails in a timely manner.
  2. Log user IT issues onto the helpdesk system.
  3. Resolve user IT issues or escalate them to the wider team.
  4. Ensure accurate recording of customer IT issues in the Helpdesk system.
  5. Update helpdesk tickets daily.
Requirements
  • Good understanding of PC/Laptop hardware and software.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft desktop operating systems and productivity suite.
  • Knowledge of Server operating systems.
  • Understanding of Active Directory.
  • Microsoft 365 setup knowledge.
  • Basic networking knowledge.

A degree in Computer Science or related field would be advantageous.
