Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Expert to join our team at esure Group. As a key member of our risk management function, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of operational and financial risks across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Second Line Oversight: Provide objective advice and challenge to business teams to ensure the risk management framework is embedded within the business.
  • Risk Identification and Management: Help business teams identify, document, and manage their key risks and controls.
  • ORSA Process: Run the Own Risk & Solvency Assessment (ORSA) process, including stress testing, scenario analysis, risk appetite, emerging risks, and reporting to Board level committees.
  • 2nd Line of Defence Risk Oversight: Provide risk oversight and challenge for business areas, including partner management, risk reviews, PRA regulatory tracking, raising key risks, and ensuring actions and root cause analysis are completed.
  • Mentorship and Training: Offer mentorship on identifying and managing key risks, controls, metrics, and issues.
  • Control Assessments and Investigations: Conduct 2nd line control assessments and investigations or produce reports on risk or control issues.
  • Project Support: Support projects within business areas.
  • Xactium Risk System: Act as the Expert Administrator of the Xactium Risk System.
  • Ad-hoc Support: Provide ad-hoc support on other team responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • Proven Track Record: Proven track record in relationship building and robust oversight and challenge of the 1st line.
  • Financial Foresight: Strong financial foresight.
  • Risk Quantification: Understanding of risk quantification methodologies and tools.
  • Data-Driven Approach: Data-driven approach with the ability to analyze large amounts of data and build succinct reports.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Good understanding of the financial services or other regulated industry.
  • Agile Experience: Agile experience.
  • Financial Crime Experience: Financial crime experience.
