Job Title: Business Operations Manager

Location: London

Reports to: CEO/COO

Salary: 30k - 35k, £100 monthly tax-free grant for travel, feeding, and work clothing, pension contributions

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Business Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and drive efficiency in our premium dry cleaning and garment care group. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing multi-site operations, with a focus on quality control, process optimization, and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Efficiency:
    • Oversee daily operations across all dry cleaning locations, ensuring processes run smoothly and efficiently.
    • Develop and implement operational policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices to ensure high levels of service and productivity.
    • Identify and execute opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiency.
  • Team Management:
    • Manage and lead teams across locations, including dry cleaning employees, part-time client services assistants, and logistics staff.
    • Train, mentor, and develop team members to uphold the company's service standards and foster a culture of excellence.
    • KPIs and performance goals for teams, monitoring progress and providing feedback.
  • Quality Control & Customer Satisfaction:
    • Ensure all garments and items receive meticulous care and meet the highest quality standards.
    • Implement quality control processes to reduce errors, rework, and client complaints.
    • Analyse customer feedback and take action to improve service levels and client satisfaction.
  • Inventory & Supply Chain Management:
    • Oversee inventory of cleaning supplies, solvents, packaging, and other operational necessities, ensuring optimal stock levels across all locations.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and manage costs.
  • Financial Oversight:
    • Monitor unit costs and margins, providing recommendations for cost control and financial performance improvements.
    • Analyse financial reports, identifying trends and variances in labour, materials, and overhead costs.
    • Work closely with the CEO to forecast operational needs and manage financial performance.
  • Compliance & Safety:
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental laws, and industry standards.
    • Monitor and implement sustainable practices in line with company goals to reduce environmental impact.
    • Maintain a safe and productive work environment, ensuring all locations adhere to safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the service industry.
  • Proven experience managing multi-site operations.
  • Experience in quality control and process optimization.
  • Strong customer service orientation and dealing with high-end individuals.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with dry cleaning or garment care industries is a plus, though not required.
