Job Title: Female Worker/Positive Behaviour Support

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Female Worker/Positive Behaviour Support to join our team at Disability North. As a key member of our 24/7 care team, you will provide support and care to a young adult with autism and learning disabilities.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive difference in the life of a young person. As a Female Worker/Positive Behaviour Support, you will be responsible for providing 2:1 support to our service user, enabling them to live a fulfilling and independent life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 2:1 support to our service user, promoting their independence and well-being
  • Implement a positive behaviour plan, working closely with the care team to ensure the service user's needs are met
  • Assist with daily living skills, such as personal care and household tasks
  • Support the service user to engage in activities and hobbies, promoting their social and emotional well-being
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure the service user's needs are met, and their care plan is implemented
Requirements:
  • Previous experience of working with autistic children or adults, with a focus on positive behaviour support
  • Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Trained to NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent experience)
  • Physically fit and active, with the ability to work shifts on alternate weekends
  • Authorised to work in the United Kingdom
  • Resilient, compassionate, and excellent communication skills
