Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Disability North. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with autism and learning disabilities.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a high level of emotional intelligence, patience, and understanding. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement personalized support plans that promote independence, choice, and control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 2:1 support to individuals with autism and learning disabilities in a 24/7 care setting
  • Implement positive behaviour plans to promote emotional stability and well-being
  • Assist with daily living skills, such as personal care and household tasks
  • Support individuals to access community activities and education
  • Work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as required

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with individuals with autism and learning disabilities
  • Ability to implement positive behaviour plans and promote emotional stability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical fitness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle
  • Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care (or equivalent experience)
