Job Overview

As a Diabetic Eye Screener, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality care for patients with diabetes in a community-based setting. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to detect and offer early treatment to individuals at risk of sight-threatening eye disease.

A key aspect of this role is your ability to work unsupervised and make decisions in a fast-paced environment. You will receive comprehensive training on the use of eye screening software and the retinal camera, as well as support to enroll in the Health Screening Diploma.

Flexibility is crucial, as you may be required to work across various screening locations and take on different roles, such as screener, photographer, or receptionist. Database entry responsibilities will also be part of your duties.

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum
