About the Role

Morrison Energy Services is seeking a skilled HV Electrical Designer/Manager to join our Net Zero team, responsible for designing and installing rapid and ultra-rapid EV chargers and associated electrical infrastructure across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high and low voltage electrical distribution systems connected to low voltage electrical systems of EV chargers.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project feasibility and identify potential issues related to high and low voltage systems.
  • Review project requirements and specifications to ensure designs meet industry standards and regulations.
  • Manage and track a pipeline of designs through to pricing and construction.
  • Ensure instructed projects are tracked against key milestones for accurate forecasting of work and resources.
  • Maximise revenue and profit from customer contracts by identifying opportunities for cost savings and additional chargeable activities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills to support construction and commissioning teams during project implementation.
  • Robust skills in preparing detailed drawings, specifications, and bills of materials for commercial pricing of electrical work.
  • Full driving licence.
Desirable Skills
  • Minimum of five years experience in analysing end user electrical load requirements and designing systems to meet required standards.
  • Minimum of five years experience working with organisations involved in HV and LV electrical distribution networks.
  • Knowledge of electrical safety regulations and best practices.
  • Knowledge of calculating, validating, and negotiating asset values for HV and LV electrical assets.
