About the Role

The Northamptonshire Children's Trust is seeking a highly skilled Senior Social Worker to join our Family Drug and Alcohol Court (FDAC) Team. As a Senior Social Worker, you will be responsible for providing expert independent assessment and support to families in care proceedings where drugs and/or alcohol are a significant issue.

With an established track record of forming effective working relationships with parents to address problem drug and alcohol use, FDAC offers a unique safeguarding role that provides an opportunity to work with a broad range of professionals and organisations.

Your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the provision of an emotionally safe space for parents to address their difficulties, achieve abstinence, and become able to focus on their child and address concerns about their parenting. You will work closely with parents, contributing to multi-disciplinary assessment, formulation, and intervention planning.
