About the Role

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join our team in the CIC Separated Children's Team on a full-time basis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing support to children, families, or carers with complex needs.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Social Work (CQSW, DipSW, BA Social Work or equivalent) and knowledge of relevant childcare legislation. A salary of up to £41,237 per annum reflects your expertise and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments, develop plans, review progress, and provide ongoing support to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and their families.
  2. Families Support: Evaluate family dynamics, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to enhance family functioning and promote positive relationships.
  3. Collaborative Working: Build effective relationships with internal and external professionals to ensure seamless service delivery and empower children, young people, and families to achieve their goals.
  4. Safeguarding: Conduct assessments, develop responses, and implement measures to safeguard children from abuse, neglect, or exploitation.
  5. Alternative Care: Collaborate with children, young people, and their parents/carers to arrange suitable alternative care arrangements when necessary.
  6. Vulnerability Support: Provide tailored support to individuals with complex social needs due to disability, exclusion, or diminished capacity.
  7. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, high-quality records of case activities and participate in planning and decision-making forums.
  8. Practice Education: Act as Practice Educators for social work students on practice placements or Assessors for Newly Qualified Social Workers completing their ASYE.
  9. Community Engagement: Work closely with communities, families, and individuals to maximize their personal strengths, social networks, and resources.
  10. Caseload Management: Manage a complex caseload, providing guidance, support, and expert advice to social care staff, students, and newly qualified social workers.
  11. Organisational Development: Contribute to organisational capability by participating in training and development activities and responding to performance feedback.
