About Our Client

Our client, a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Gloucestershire, has a dedicated resource base for students with Autism. They are seeking a Primary School Teaching Assistant - Autism Resource Base to join their team.

The Role

In this challenging yet rewarding role, you will work closely with the lead teacher and other teaching assistants to provide targeted support to students with Autism. Your key responsibilities will include:

Main Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively under the guidance of the lead teacher.
  • Support small groups of students with Autism, helping them progress towards their goals.
  • Assist in planning and resourcing activities and occasionally lead whole-class sessions when requested.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • An HLTA qualification is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are necessary.
  • Previous experience working with children with Autism is necessary.
